TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR YMP STUDENTS – INDIVIDUAL LESSONS 


LESSON TERMS & HOLIDAYS 

  • Tuition is given via a weekly 30 minute lesson
  • We guarantee to offer at least 43 weeks tuition per year. Holiday dates for the remaining 9 weeks include October (1 week), December (2 weeks) Easter (2 weeks) and 4 weeks in the Summer.•All holiday dates will be published a term in advance.


FEES & PAYMENT TERMS 

  • Our fees are calculated on 43 weeks tuition per annum x £18 per lesson divided into 12 monthly payments of £64.50
  • Each payment term is payable in advance – no later than the first day of each month via Direct Debit or by means of a recurring monthly payment from a nominated Debit or Credit Card. We will bill you against the agreed payment schedule on the first day of each month
  • We reserve the right to refuse admission to lessons not paid for in advance•An Enrolment fee of £24 is payable by all students upon Enrolment at the Music School. In exchange for which you will receive your first Course Book & Backing tracks
  • Course books are to be paid for at the beginning of each course, or as required (* for all new students the cost of the first course book is included in the enrolment fee)


ATTENDANCE 

  • Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before the lesson begins to avoid delaying the start of thelesson for other students.
  • Under normal circumstances no refunds or credits will be given for students missing lessons for anyreason, as the class will still run. However we will make every effort to ensure that students catch upwith work missed
  • Credits for lessons are made only if the teacher is absent and no alternative is available
  • Should you wish to terminate your tuition at any time, four weeks written notice must be given inadvance


GENERAL INFORMATION 

  • Our teachers are qualified Yamaha Music School teachers, who receive regular training & monitoring inorder to ensure that students receive the teaching of the very best quality
  • Prior to joining our Yamaha Music School our teachers have agreed to and have been cleared by a police check, as is the current practice of local authority schools & other professional bodies working with children
  • The maximum class size will be of 8 students. Should a class size fall below a level that is no longer educationally or economically viable, we reserve the right to close that class and will endeavour to offer an alternative where possible
  • We organise regular exams and achievement tests, which take place at our school and are available toall Yamaha Music School students
  • There will be regular performance opportunities for students to take part throughout the year
  • We are fully insured for public liability & fire
  • We do not permit food or drink in our classrooms at any time
